In constructing these glazes Kita was focused on gaining more knowledge on what achieves a matte/ glossy or opaque textured glaze.
She gained more insight after she started adding colour-giving oxides to her recipes. By playing with these proportions she has found ways to develop multiple surfaces from one base recipe. In combination this results in a subtle, yet rich atmosphere.
